I have become amazed, once again, by the reminder of how much time actually gets taken up by working full-time. It seems that we do little more than work, eat, sleep, exercise, and try to keep the apartment clean. I'm not complaining. I'm still grateful to have work. We're just in that awkward stage of trying to balance life's demands again. As a result, the blog has suffered. And it's not just that I don't have time to blog; it's more a problem of having no material to blog about. No one wants to hear about forty hours a week at a desk job (and frankly, I don't want to talk about it, either).
So let's talk about food.
Two things:
1. We've been eating an excessive amount of sushi. We recently learned how to make it ourselves, and it's turned into a new bizarre pastime. It seems like we eat sushi at least once a week. At least it's delicious.
2. I recently celebrated the opportunity to create cake pops for a special occasion. I had wanted to try them for a while but had no idea what I would do with them after making them. Luckily an invitation to a bridal shower stepped in and gave me an excuse. They were a bit more difficult than I had planned, but were fun nonetheless (I started with at least two dozen and ended up with thirteen in the end).
This mini wedding cake looked quite a bit better before I accidentally dropped it, frosting-side-down, onto the kitchen floor and I had to start the roses over again.

My favorite! The bride and groom.
And that is just about all the news I can scrounge up for us. Good times, good times.
